Seasoned Financial Professional Joins Krause’s Expanding Multistate Team

Business Development Staffer Will Help Leading Medicaid Annuity Provider Meet Unprecedented Need

De Pere, Wisconsin – Krause Financial Services continues to expand its Florida presence with the addition of David Currie to its business development team.

Currie previously served as a vice president for an investment management firm and worked in other roles specializing in financial products and planning. Krause Financial Services CEO Dale Krause said Currie’s fluency in financial matters made him the ideal candidate to translate these difficult concepts for elder law attorneys and their clients.

“During his time as a financial advisor, David worked with seniors and saw firsthand the difference that proper planning can make in their lives, and the lives of their families,” said CEO Dale Krause. “New lawyers and seasoned attorneys alike will benefit from his knowledge and support.”

As part of his new role, Currie will reach out to elder law attorneys to learn about their practices and to identify ways Krause can support their work through innovative products and services. In addition to helping lawyers strategize, Currie will also help them connect to educational resources to hone their advocacy skills.
Currie’s credentials make him well suited to educate elder law attorneys on key planning concepts. He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, and maintains the following licenses: Series 3, 7, 63 and 65.

“I have seen what an incredible impact effective asset allocation and planning can have on an older person’s life, health and financial legacy,” said Currie. “I really value the opportunity to share knowledge and best practices with elder law attorneys as they work on behalf of seniors in need.”

As a business development specialist, Currie will help Krause meet an unprecedented need for the products it offers, which include Medicaid Compliant Annuities and Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI). A Medicaid Compliant Annuity is a single premium immediate annuity that helps seniors accelerate their Medicaid eligibility, while preserving their assets for future generations. LTCI provides financial coverage in the event of a stay in a nursing home, assisted living facility, or in cases of home health care services.

Currie will work out of Krause’s satellite office in Fort Lauderdale. Florida is the second-largest senior market in the country, so he will be well-positioned to reach prospective attorney clients. Currie hails from the neighboring state of Georgia. He was born and raised in Savannah. When Currie is not busy supporting elder law attorneys and their clients, he enjoys traveling, running, and spending time outdoors. Currie is also an automobile enthusiast and collects watches.
